Strategic Organization Design Assessment
compares the structure of the business to the type of product or service or
marketplace the business is in and the results the business is achieving.
Organization redesign should be considered when there is a redefinition of the
Business Strategy or the business is experiencing substantial growth or
contraction. It can also be an aid when there is a significant change in
the leadership or the business focus or there is general dissatisfaction with the
current structure.
How does a
business know when it needs to do an Organization Design Assessment? When
there is lack of clarity of roles - who's responsible for what? When
there's confusion around accountability for results. Or there's inefficient utilization
of resources. Or tension or strife within the organization. It's also a
valuable process to use when a business is experiencing customer dissatisfaction
